Kevin MerrittFounder & CEO
Kevin is the founder and CEO of Socrata. In 2002 Kevin founded MessageRite, a web-based email archiving software developer and service provider. In 2004 FrontBridge Technologies acquired MessageRite where Kevin functioned as CTO. In 2005 Microsoft acquired FrontBridge. At Microsoft Kevin served as Software Architect and Director of Operations before leaving to found Socrata in 2007. At heart, Kevin is a software entrepreneur with a passion for and focus on making customers elated by delivering great software as a service. Patrick BehrensChief Financial Officer
Before joining Socrata, Patrick served as Vice President of Finance and Administration at mobile social network developer 3Guppies. Patrick has been a significant contributor in the areas of finance, strategy and operations for a number of technology companies including QPass, Western Union and Oralis.com. Pat began his career as a CPA working for Ernst & Young.
Greg LauckhartChief Technology Officer
Greg is a serial entrepreneur in the Seattle technology community. In recent years, he’s provided advisory and consultation services to a variety of software start-ups, including Optify, Gist, and the portfolio companies of Monster Venture Partners. Greg previously co-founded QL2, where he led development of WebQL, a technology that extracts market intelligence from the web. Prior to QL2, Greg co-founded AdRelevance, a leading source of market research about online advertising. Greg was also a lead developer at NetBot, which produced the search engine Metacrawler and shopping agent Jango. He holds a number of patents for web-based software systems and computer applications.
Safouen RabahVice President, Marketing
Safouen (Saf) brings 13 years of technology marketing experience in the enterprise software, internet services and communications industries. Most recently as Marketing Director at TELUS, Saf led the successful market introduction of cloud-based customer experience solutions that achieved 300% revenue growth over two years. Prior to TELUS, Saf was Director of eBusiness at Pivotal, which reached $65 million in revenue in five years and was acquired by CDC Software in 2003. Saf holds an Executive MBA from Simon Fraser University.
