Open Data Holds Key Role During Elections
The King County Open Data Initiative started with the goal of publishing the most requested information online. The result was a pioneering use case for Open Data. The King County Open Data Portal now hosts vital information for elections; allowing constituents to locate the nearest ballot drop-box, view election calendars, and review election results. As a result, the residents of King County now participate in a more transparent and accountable government.
